Post 114.....

So this is the 114th post and I have no idea why that matters but it does make me refect on what a great year I have had...so this weekend was not the most exciting here in CH, but I continue to be postive and have a smile on my face daily.

Friday came after 2 days of business travel to the UK and Germany. I returned back to a frigid 5c and a little frost on the pumpkin as they say. I got back to the flat at around 8 and just chilled. Saturday was a nice day but very windy and cold...about 10C and a 35KM. That did not deter me from going to the Marche and getting some treats. After a little cleaning I headed DT for some more shopping. I didn't get much but it was nice being in Geneva. The night came and Pedro and I want to Paul's to watch the Rugby WC. England lost but it was a nice relazed night.

Sunday I decided to get out and go to the Saleve for a little hike. It was crazy windy and cold but I got some cool shots...these cows have one of the best views on the planet!

After a nice Sunday hike and drive it is back to another crazy week but I know there are another 114 posts to come ;-)

Chillin in CH....daily!

Another week passed with 12 hour workdays, a short trip to Germany, and a nice weekend. Saturday turned out to be a nice day with temps in the 60s and the sun shining on the snowy tops of the Swiss Alps. Jay, Tom, and I headed up to Champery for what is probably the final day of VTT this year. We took the normal laps around Les Croset and the single track in Champery.

At the end of the day we rocked one of the cow pastures which Jay didn't like after a little digger:

He hurt his wrist, but nothing big...the sprouts helped:

Sunday turned into a down day with some running in the AM (3 miles), a nap (I have been sleeping horribly) and a little lamb!

So after another nice weekend of biking, VTT is a close #2 to skiing. A different feeling but I am on the learning curve right now, so it is cool. My progress from day 1 this year is killer. Thanks Jay for the intro to biking this year...you rock!
This week looks like a trip to the UK on Thursday and then back to DE on Friday. The weekend is still a question mark, but we will see. The snow is coming, so I think a chill weekend is in the plans. Much love to my fams and friends as always...I miss you all! -G

The quick post...everything still rocks in CH!

So after a chill weekend of relaxing, watching the Sox and Pats win (the internet rocks!), and some biking it is back to the grind...this is the short version..because I am off to DE tomorrow.
Saturday the weather didn't cooperate with the biking situation, so I just chilled, ran 3 miles, shopped in the "marche", went to Annemasse, and just relaxed. Sunday was another story and Jay and I hooked up for a late season VTT. The AM was cloudy in Lavaux, but inversion was in full effect..so the day was perfect for biking.

Overall a nice weekend in the wonderful place I live CH! Off to DE in the AM and then back for a weekend of ????
