41 and counting.......

Another great week of work passed and it was off to break the even number of 40 (dyas skied in 07/08) at G3. KK was off jet-setting in DE so I met up with Jay and Fabian at G3. The night before it snowed about 15CM and we were up for 2 box. The day started as a mix of rain and clouds but turned out to be a very nice day of chillin in the Alps..again! The scenery is always stunning!

Better late than never...Cham and friends!

So the week finished with a lot of things happening at work but it was time again for the best part of the week...the end! Klaus and Karolla were in from DK and it was time to chill in GE. They arrived on Friday night and proceeded to have a nice dinner at Cafe Du Marche in Carouge. The next AM we woke to a nice day with sun and clouds around 15C. After a nice pancake b-fast from the marche the group headed out for a little shopping. I am in the market for a road bike so Klaus and I headed to about 6 shows to check what was available in my price range. The girls did the same but were just window shopping mostly..KK got a bag. Klaus and I walked all around town and then ran into the girls for a beer in Carouge.

That night we had a nice foundue at home and chilled.

Sunday was another nice day but even warmer. Since everything was closed in Carouge we headed to Chamonix and as always it delivered! In transit we stopped to see the attractions!

E-Berg Revisted.....POWPOW V2

So almost a year ago J and I road-tripped to Engelberg for a little pow skiing in March (Linky) and one year later mother nature returned with some great pow in E-berg.

Jay and I arrived Thursday night in a snow storm. View from the room:

Everything was setting up for a Friday. After a sleepless style night (I was really stoked to ski) we woke to a mix of sun and clouds..perfect for the ski ski!

The day was killer with over 8000M+ of pure pow! The day ended with a burger a beer at the Yucatan.

Saturday we woke to another perfect day. The snow was still soft but tracked. That was OK because scenery and skiing with friends rocks. We even ran into Jason (see Verbier and A-Matt posts)....

...this day we replicated the 8000M+ and we were pooped!

A nice 2+ hour ride back to Lasaunne and a little suprise party for Jay. Happy B-Day!

Sunday was a down day...but as work passes this week I still dream about the pow in E-Berg. Friday was one of the top 5 days of all-time...CH ROCKS!

On a side, life here in GE is still great. KK is doing well and we continue to love CH everyday. Much love to fams and friends...we miss you. -GG
