Okay...Back on track!

So after months of waiting I final received my offer letter for my expat assignment. It consists of:
1) A Short Term assignment starting June 1st in Frankfurt, Germany for 2 months. I am will stay in temp housing and work in one of our offices locally in Kronberg. I will be back and forth for twice to the US in the two months to get my stuff together and finalize the sale of my home. This should be a great time especially because the World Cup is going on. Will post pics next week when I arrive.
2) On or close to August 1st I will move on my expat assignment for (x) amount of years...Hopefully at least 2 winters ;) I am going apartment hunting on June 13th so I will have a little more detail after that.

I have been extremely hectic because I was not officially offered the job until 3 weeks ago, but I am getting my stuff together. I will post as many times as I can in the ST.

Not a great day....

So this blog is about my expat experience, but it is also about my life. Today had to be one of the most difficult dates on record in my 31 years. The in's and out's of it are not really for public record but I can say that I wish I never have to go through it.... D, I know you are sorry.

PS: My assignment came through...but I am a little down so that will be my next entry with the detials!

Still WAITING!!!!

So over the past 4 months I have heard that "they" ...HR, etc will be presneting me with an offer. Per my prior post the D-Day was April 26th, but as you can see I still wait and wait. I guess that is the corporate machine for you. That is why I need to get out of this rat race and start my own biz or work for a small biz.... so anyone out there that has a ski company ..... I am waiting.. ;-)
