So with the holiday season quickly approaching.... time is of the essences so this is the short version of a great 3 days.
Thursday:
Leave work at 8:30PM after a crisis is averted. Nice dinner with KK at a little cafe in Carouge.
Friday:
No work so I meet up with Jay, Al, and Alex to go to Gstaad (G3 and Leysin closed). Stupid skis don't fit in gondola racks, ski fresh pow, ski sick lines, chill with friends, fell like I really live in a postcard.

POW POW Strikes CH and IT!
As most of you know we suffered a boney winter here in 06/07, but the start to the 07/08 season has just been sick (per previous posts). The Euros in AT have been getting theirs but it was time to get ours in Western CH. The snow has been falling on and off for the past week and continued to pound as I write this. Saturday I hooked up with Ripzalot (AKA SkisAlot) and TeleAl. We were planning to hit up G3 but with 50KM winds the Combe was closed and marginal terrain was open (found out later in the day nothing really opened) That being said the other side of the valley was open and Leysin got snow the night before down to 1000M. From the moment we got off the first lift we knew we made the right decision.....Moi:

Great views:
The day was killer with great snow and good friends. Saturday night I returned to Geneva to hook up with KK who had been shopping and volunteering all day. We were hooking up with boys to go to Morge and see Michel for his housewarming party. The night eneded with a few beers and some good Swiss food. Thanks Michel!...bust Sunday was the day!!!!! KK and I woke up to crazy rain here in Geneva, but that meant SNOW!!!!!! in the mtns. I decided that Courmayeur would be a cool adventrue so we headed to the Mt. Blanc tunnel and into Italy..Europe rocks...we passed through 3 countires in 45 minutes. We arrived to Courmayeur to this!
30+ CM on the bottome and 60+ on top it was time to go and ski POWPOW in the storm cycle!!
KK killing it!
A little windy up top:
GG following her lead:
Blessing of the new boards (self mounted thank you):
The snow was not the only good thing in Italy:
We skied crazy pow all day until 4ish when we called it a day:
The day was just perfect and to end the day we got into the Christmas season and got a tree in the marche around the corner..a little Charlie Brown..but that is the style we were going for!
So I was saying to KK the other day the DH biking was a close second to skiing...but after this weekend I know why skiing is far in first place! Much love to all my family and friends as always...I hope all is well...life is hard here ;-) GG
